COLUSA COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT: TO OFFER ELECTRONIC FILING SERVICES

The Colusa County Superior Court is pleased to announce that electronic filing (e-File) will be available on October 1, 2024. This will allow law firms, governmental agencies, and self-represented individuals to file most documents, and pay applicable filing fees, through a secure, single online location. This new process supports the court’s goal of accessibility by allowing the filing from any location, and tracking of previously filed documents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. E-filing modernizes the traditional filing process by allowing case parties to digitally submit files through an electronic filing service provider.

E-filing will be through Odyssey eFileCA which is accessible through the Colusa County Superior Court website at www.colusa.courts.ca.gov from the Online Services tab. Colusa will accept initial and subsequent filings for Civil, Family, Probate, and Dependency case types. Subsequent filings will be accepted for Criminal, Traffic and Delinquency case types.

At this time, electronically filed documents are permissive and not required. The court will still accept filings via the mail or the Clerk’s Office business counter during regular business hours, for those who wish to continue to file paper documents.
