FAMILY LAW DIVISION ANNOUNCES COURTROOM CHANGES AT THE STANLEY MOSK COURTHOUSE
The Family Law Division will implement the following changes to courtroom operations effective December 12, 2022:
- Judge Shelley Kaufman will be reassigned from Dept. 18 at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse, 111 N. Hill St., Los Angeles, to Dept. 2. All matters previously assigned to Dept. 2 will be assigned to Judge Kaufman for all purposes.
- Judge Amy M. Pellman will be reassigned from Dept. 2 to Dept. 18. Dept. 18 will become a dedicated trial courtroom and will also handle Mandatory Settlement Conferences one day per week. All Mandatory Settlement Conferences scheduled prior to December 12, 2022, in Dept. 18 will be reassigned to Dept. 2.
Counsel and parties are instructed to indicate the assigned judicial officer and department on the first page of all documents filed with the clerk to ensure proper departmental assignment, calendaring of hearings, and document routing.
