MODOC COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT: NOTICE OF CHANGE OF CALENDAR
Beginning on July 1, 2023, the Court calendar will be as follows:
Monday – Jury trials will begin at 10:00 a.m. If there is not a jury trial, other evidentiary hearings will be set.
Tuesday – Jury trials will begin at 9:00 a.m. If there is not a jury trial, other evidentiary hearings will be set.
Wednesday – Jury trials will begin at 9:00 a.m. Trial Management conferences for trials set the following week will be set at a time to be determined. Guardianship and Conservatorship hearings will be set at 1:30 p.m. Juvenile Dependency and Juvenile Justice hearings will be set at 2:00 p.m.
Thursday – Criminal arraignments will be at 9:00 a.m. and criminal pre-trials will be calendared at 1:00 p.m. and be called at 1:30 p.m.
First Friday of the month: Restraining order hearings will be at 9:00 a.m. Family and Civil law and motion hearings will be at 10:00 a.m.
Second Friday of the month: Restraining order hearings will be at 9:00 a.m. Small Claims hearings will be at 10:00 a.m. Traffic hearings will be at 10:30 a.m.
Third Friday of the month: Restraining order hearings will be at 9:00 a.m. Family, DCSS and Civil law and motion hearings will be at 10:00 a.m.
Fourth Friday of the month: Restraining order hearings will be at 9:00 a.m.
Fifth Friday of the month: Restraining order hearings will be at 9:00 a.m.
In custody arraignments will be set Monday through Thursday as required based on the arrest date. Civil and family law long cause hearings can be set through out the week around the other calendar matters. Collaborative Court reviews and other diversion reviews will be set after consultation with the Treatment Teams.
