ORANGE COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT: PUBLIC NOTICE OF CHANGE IN COURT LOCATION

Court Notice

PUBLIC NOTICE OF CHANGE IN COURT LOCATION

All probate/mental health and small claims cases will be heard at the Costa Mesa Justice Complex and will no longer be heard at the Central Justice Center

Pursuant to Government Code section 68106 and California Rules of Court, rule 10.620, the Superior Court of California, County of Orange, is providing notice of the change in court location for Probate/Mental Health and Small Claims matters heard.

Capacity constraints associated with long-term Fire and Life Safety renovations at the Central Justice Center compel this change in court location. This long-term court renovation project will require the repurposing of all Probate/Mental Health and Small Claims courtrooms currently in use at the Central Justice Center and relocation of the matters currently set to be heard in Probate/Mental Health and Small Claims to the Costa Mesa Justice Complex. All matters will be re-calendared by the court with notice provided to all parties.

Effective Monday, May 1, 2023, all Probate/Mental Health cases, filings and hearings, and Small Claims hearings only will be transferred to and heard at the Costa Mesa Justice Complex located at 3390 Harbor Boulevard, Costa Mesa, California 92626. All filings for Small Claims cases will continue to be processed at the Central Justice Center.

The updated Court Designation List with information on where matters will be heard/tried as of May 1, 2023, will be published soon on the Court’s website.
