SAN BERNARDINO SUPERIOR COURT: TO EXPAND EFILING TO FAMILY LAW CASES

San Bernardino Superior Court (SBSC) is excited to announce that electronic filing (eFiling) will be available for Family Law cases, effective on February 26, 2024.

The addition of Family Law to eFile concludes the phased-in implementation schedule which began in 2023 with Probate, Small Claims, then Civil and Landlord Tenant case types.

Aligned with SBSC’s Strategic Plan, eFiling expands access to justice by leveraging cost-effective technology solutions. Filing electronically adds convenience and removes ongoing barriers commonly associated with a county of our geographic size, including challenges with transportation and other community needs. With eFiling, attorneys and the public can file documents and pay fees electronically 24 hours a day without having to come to court.

Although eFiling is strongly encouraged, at this time, it is voluntary. Those who prefer to file in person or through the mail can continue to do so.

We invite you to visit our eFiling webpage for more information on eFiling rules, tips to ensure your filing is accepted, and much more.

“Providing increased access to justice while leveraging innovative technology is essential to meeting the needs of our community,” said Presiding Judge Lisa M. Rogan. “The successful implementation of eFiling demonstrates our continued commitment to serving the residents of our county,” said Court Executive Officer Anabel Z. Romero.
